The journey begins with your hens, coop, and all the supplies needed for the five month rental period delivered right to your home and setup completed by one of our team members. Lend-A-Hen chickens and supplies can also be picked up from Choate Farms in Middleton, Idaho. Chickens are rented and kept for five months, from May through September.

Immediately start enjoying your hens and their daily gift of delicious eggs. A few quick and simple chores of replenishing their food and water is all that is needed. A team member from Lend-A-Hen will check in with you periodically to make sure everything is going smoothly and to answer any questions.

At the end of your rental period, Lend-A-Hen will return to pick up the hens, coop, and supplies. If you fall in love with your hens and the self-sufficient lifestyle, the option to adopt your birds forever is available.
