Meet the ladies.
From Silkies and Silver Laced Wyandotes to Bramas and Buff Orpingtons, there are many different breeds of chickens! At Choate Farms we breed, brood and hatch our own chicks. We believe strongly in genetic diversity to combat common health issues seen in selective breeding. We utilize three isolated flocks in a spiral breeding program resulting in nearly infinite genetic diversity. This allows us to provide birds that are robust, independent and easier to care for.
